In the past, courses such as this have been called “Defensive” driving courses. More recently, they have appeared as “Proactive” driving courses. The purpose of this change in terminology is a hope that drivers will not only defend themselves against collisions, but be proactive in avoiding dangerous situations and protecting all road users. This course has been designed to help you meet regulatory and government requirements.

- Explain why it is important to keep your emotions in check while driving
- Explain why using a cell phone while driving is dangerous
- Define “impaired driving” and describe the penalties for being charged with impaired driving
- List the most important points of interacting with other road users
