Course 3: The business analysis process model and investigation techniques

Course 3 introduces the BA process model as a reference framework for all activities of business analysis. This model extends the potential scope of the BA’s work from strategy analysis through to delivering the change.

Also in the course we present a number of investigation techniques which are an essential part of the BA’s tool kit. Various investigation techniques will be used throughout the project cycle, from an initial understanding of high level business needs, to an in-depth investigation of detailed requirements.

 

 

Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Provide an insight into the structure that all business analysis projects should follow, covering the techniques applicable at each stage of the project
  • Provide a descriptions of the key investigation techniques available to the business analyst in their quest for information relating to business requirements, when such techniques should be used, and the advantages and disadvantages of the various approaches
