In course 1 Introduction to Business Analysis, we describe what business analysis is, how it has developed and how the role of the analyst has evolved.
We discuss some of the key aspects of the role and some of the guiding principles that shape the analyst’s work.
We also consider the importance of a holistic approach to business analysis, especially the business context to which the various activities relate.
Finally we discuss the key skills and competencies that the business analyst typically requires, and how to acquire and/or develop those skills and their relevance to the business situation.
