Chard Métis Nation, SWIFT Learning, and Safety in Schools Foundation Collaborate to Bring Innovative Education Programs to Indigenous Communities

Calgary and Janvier, Alberta, April 18th, 2024 – The Chard Métis Nation, SWIFT Learning (SWIFT), and the Safety in Schools (SiS) Foundation of Canada are thrilled to announce a groundbreaking partnership to deliver industry-recognized Occupational Health and Safety eLearning courses and introduce the new Energy Career Literacy eLearning program to youth and adults in the Chard Métis Nation and neighbouring Indigenous communities.

Set to launch alongside Chard Métis Nation’s second Career Fair Event, scheduled for April 26, 2024 at the Multiplex in Janvier, Alberta. The partnership marks a significant step in promoting education, skill development, and career opportunities within the Chard Métis Nation.

Rolando Inzunza, Director of Consultation for the Chard Métis Nation, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “This collaboration with SWIFT and SiS showcases our dedication to building a strong and resilient community through education and skill development. It aligns seamlessly with our recent integration of high-speed internet access through Telus, enhancing our ability to provide accessible education resources to our citizens.”
